Crusaders battle back to top Bellaire
BELLAIRE — The Catholic Central baseball team erased an early deficit and battled back for an impressive 6-4 victory on the road at Bellaire on Friday.
The Big Reds scored the first three runs, but the Crusaders (4-10) rallied with six of the next seven to storm back for the victory.
Zach Bryan, Daveon Thorn, Tommy Symington and Michael Fabbro each had two hits, Thorn and Symington also hitting a double, Symington driving in one run and Thorn tallying two RBIs.
Jojo Corabi also doubled and plated a run, while Matty Jones drove in a run also.
On the mound, Luke Bryan fired five innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win, then Joseph Vranish came on and fired the last two innings for a save.
Central was scheduled to take on Harrison Central on the road Saturday morning before a trip to Bridgeport on Monday.
