STEUBENVILLE – The field is set, and now it is time to play the games.
Six local baseball teams earned spots in the annual OVAC Tournament. The top four teams in each of the five classes earn spots in the conference tournament. The final standings and tournament pairings were officially announced Saturday morning.
All 10 semifinals are scheduled to be played today with the finals being held Friday out at Mazeroski Field in Cadiz and Saturday out at the Edison Unified Sports Complex.
Big Red (11-4) is the lone local representative in Class 5A. Big Red finished third in the standings behind top-seed Morgantown and No. 2 seed John Marshall. Wheeling Park is the No. 4 seed.
