Brooke falls in regional semi at Fairmont Senior
FAIRMONT — The season came to a close Thursday night for the Brooke boys basketball team.
The Bruins, the No. 6 seed in the Class AAA Region 1 tournament, dropped a 58-49 decision at No. 3 seed Fairmont Senior.
The Bruins successful season that saw them return to the OVAC tournament and finish above .500 for the first time since the 2021-22 season, closes with a record of 13-10.
Pete Fodor led the Bruins with 13 points, five rebounds and three assists on Thursday night.
Crosby Morris netted 11 points and pulled down eight rebounds, while Andrew Murdock tallied 10 points and five assists and Grant Yost recorded eight points and eight rebounds and Pierce Ferrell finished with seven points.
Fairmont Senior (14-8) advances to take on No. 2 seed East Fairmont in the Region 1 co-final for a spot in the state tournament on Tuesday night.
