Edison girls bounce back, get back in win column
CAMERON — The Edison girls basketball team did not take long to get back in the win column.
After falling in a heartbreaker to rival Indian Creek Monday in the OVAC semifinals and seeing its school record winning streak come to an end, the Wildcats went on the road to Cameron for a makeup game on Wednesday and got back in the win column, topping Dragons 59-45.
Edison, now 18-1, was led by 23 points from Abby Carpenter and 15 from Abby Boka.
The Wildcats, who were the No. 2 seed in the OVAC tournament, are back in action tonight at top-seeded Union Local in the Class 4A third-place consolation game.
