Edison’s Evans headed to Wheeling U
Edison senior Matthew Evans signed his letter of intent to continue his football and track careers at Wheeling University on Friday at Edison High School. Matt ends his football career at Edison High School as a three-year starter and four-year letterman. He accumulated 320 tackles and 11 turnovers as a linebacker. He was twice named first team All Eastern District and first team All OVAC. Matt was Honorable Mention All-Ohio as a junior and third team All-Ohio as a senior. On the track, Matt has been Edison’s leading scorer since his freshman year, specializing in the 110 and 300M hurdles. Last season, Matt was AAAA OVAC Champion and a regional qualifier in both events.
