Crusaders win on the road
ZANESVILLE — The Catholic Central girls basketball team made it three wins in a row and four wins in their last five ganes with a big win on the road at Bishop Rosecrans on Saturday, 68-32.
Mary Rohde led the way for Central (8-6) with a game-high 18 points and eight rebounds, while Mara Delaney netted 12 points and Aurelia Hoover netted nine points and dished 10 assists.
The Crusaders are at Brooke today.
Creek rolls to sweep of Potters
EAST LIVERPOOL — The Indian Creek girls basketball team went on the road to East Liverpool and earned their second win over the Potters in three days, 50-29, at the Potter Fieldhouse for a season sweep of their Buckeye 8 Conference foe.
The Redskins improved to 13-1 with the victory ahead of a big road game at Carrollton today.
Leading the way against EL was Kaydence Walker with a game-high 25 points, while Gracie Klinesmith netted 12 and Makayla Crouch and Riley Sadler each added nine.
Madonna falls at St. Clairsville
ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Red Devils made it three wins in four games with a victory over visiting Madonna Saturday in girls basketball action on John Jenkins Court.
Sophie Brady had 10 points for the Blue Dons.

Brooke girls win Buckeye 8 title
WELLSBURG — The Brooke girls swimming team captured a Buckeye 8 Championship on Friday, topping the team scores in the conference meet.
Beaver Local won the boys and overall team titles. The Bruins were the overall runners up, and fourth in boys scoring, while Indian Creek was fifth in boys, girls and overall team scoring.
The Bruins got event wins from Lindsey Kettler (200 free, 100 butterfly), Faith Farrell (50 free. 100 free), Kiersten Harvath (500 free, 100 back), the 200 free relay unit of Harvath, Farrell, Kettler and Ivy Myers, and the 400 free relay team of Harvath, Farrell, Kettler and Gwen Hill.
Indian Creek had an individual champion in Hunter Rusnak (50 free).
