Bruins top Edison on the road in overtime
RICHMOND — The Brooke boys basketball team’s offense was firing on all cylinders Wednesday.
Three Bruins scored at least 18 points as Brooke defeated Edison on the road, 72-67 in overtime, improving to 9-5 on the season.
The game, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was a rare contest able to take place this week as the majority of games have been postponed or cancelled following the winter storm and bitter temperatures.
Andrew Murdock poured in 23 points with nine rebounds for the Bruins, while Grant Yost posted an impressive 20-point, 17-rebound double-double.
Crosby Morris scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the visitors as well. Ty Sperringer led the team with six assists.
Brooke’s next game is scheduled for Friday when they will remain on the road and travel to northern Hancock County to face Oak Glen.
