Nate Dragisich, a center midfielder, signed his first pro contract with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The 2019 West Allegheny graduate and 2023 Duquesne University graduate signed with the Riverhounds for the 2024 season, with a club option for the 2025 season. Dragisich has a local connection, as he is the grandson of former Weirton Chief of Police, the late Nick Dragisich, and current Weirton residents, Edmund and Donna DiBacco. His parents are 1991 Weir High graduate, Brent Dragisich and 1995 Madonna graduate, Malinda (DiBacco) Dragisich. The Riverhounds are in the USL Championship League, the second division of U.S.Soccer. Dragisich had a storied career at West Allegheny, as he was honored as Gatorade Player of the Year in Pennsylvania in 2019 while finishing his career as the program leader in goals and assists, and helping his team win the Pa. State Championship in his senior year. While at Duquesne he set a program record for matches played, and was third all-time in assists with 24. – Contributed
