MT. ZION -- The Madonna football scored the final 29 points to take down Calhoun on the road Friday night, 29-6, in the season finale to clinch a winning season.

After the host Red Devils scored first in the opening quarter, the Blue Dons did the rest of the scoring to finish with a 6-4 mark.

"We are very proud of the team for weathering a challenging season and having a winning season," Madonna head coach Troy Fetty, who wrapped up his first season at the helm, said. "Our seniors showed tremendous leadership. We are proud to send them out with a victory. Our underclassmen played an instrumental part in our success. We are looking forward to the offseason and building on a positive first year."

Chase Littleton threw for 72 yards and ran for 110, combining for three touchdowns. That performance was good enough to conclude a 1,000-yard passing, 1,000-yard rushing campaign for the senior.

"Chase Littleton showed tremendous leadership and ability the entire year," Fetty said. "He went over 1000 yards passing and rushing. He was also a top tackler on defense."

Littleton hit Matthew Geer for a 25-yard scoring pass and ran for the conversion to put Madonna on top, 8-6.

He then ran for a 19-yard score in the second quarter, making it 16-6 with a conversion pass to Andre Crossland. That would be the score at halftime.

Littleton's third TD came on a 24-yard run in the third quarter to make it 22-6. Geer added his second TD of the night with a 25-yard run in the fourth quarter, a KJ Ward extra point capping the scoring and providing the final 29-6 margin.

Geer finished with 102 yards on 15 carries to go with the two scores.
