Toronto stays unbeaten
BOWERSTON -- The Toronto volleyball team improved its record to 5-0 with a four-set win on the road at Conotton Valley on Thursday.
For the Red Knights, Hannah Dobbs finished with 26 kills, 18 digs and five blocks, Andrea Reeves racked up 49 assists, seven blocks, two aces and two kills, Ashton Thomas tallied five kills, nine blocks, six digs and two aces, Michelle Anderson recorded 42 digs, Callie Anderson finished with 12 kills and six digs, Jayna Reeves tallied six kills and four blocks, Gracee Rex recorded 20 digs, Tatum Derrington tallied four kills and five blocks and Riley Fisher finished with 12 digs.
Toronto is at Madonna on Tuesday.
Crusaders top Weir
STEUBENVILLE -- The Catholic Central volleyball team topped visiting Weir High in four sets on Thursday evening at home.
For the Crusaders, Anna Arai had an ace, six kills, six blocks and five assists, Natalie Cherepko recorded five kills, 15 points, an ace, a block and 21 points, Ava Marcino tallied 24 points, 14 assists, five blocks, seven kills and five aces and Ella Maragos finished with three aces, two kills, six blocks, and 14 points.
Panthers fall in five sets
WHEELING -- The Buckeye Local volleyball team came close to recording its first win of the season Thursday evening, but dropped a close match to Linsly in five sets.
For the Panthers, Shayleigh Hornyak had 15 kills, 32 attacks, 15 points, 10 blocks and four digs, Allie Emfield recorded 24 attacks, seven kills and two blocks, Maddie Roset finished with 12 points, two aces, 25 attacks, four digs and five blocks, Avah Williams recorded 28 points, seven aces, 12 attacks, three kills and seven digs and Tatum Walker had seven attacks, 10 points and two aces.

Big Red second in quad
WHEELING -- University topped a four team match at Oglebay on Thursday, besting Big Red, John Marshall and Harrison Central.
University’s 328 was nine shots better than Big Red, led by match medalist Landon Spiker's 78.
For Big Red Waylon Hayes led the way with an 82, Christopher Elliott was close behind with an 83, Bubby Reese also fired an 83 and Evan Liggett turned in a 91.
For the Huskies, Nash Roberts shot an 81, Kaily Banal a 91, Heath Clay a 95 and Hayden Skpper a 118.
