COLUMN: The spring has flown by
It does not seem all that long ago that I was working on baseball and softball preview stories and headed to opening day at the new Crimson Complex.
But, regardless of how long ago that does or doesn’t feel, the calender doesn’t lie, though it certainly feels like it does sometimes.
In what feels like the blink of an eye, the regular season is over for all of our area teams, and some have seen their seasons conclude.
For that matter, last year’s tournament runs don’t even feel that long ago.
Where did the time go?
I’m sure that’s a question many of you have asked in a variety of circumstances, I know I have, but, man, does it seem to be moving fast.
There have been some incredible games this spring, walk-offs, comebacks, great pitching performances and big hits.
I’m sure there are some incredible games yet to go, too. There always is in the tournament.
The best of luck to our area teams still battling for hardware, we’ll see you at the ballfields.
Let’s keep this passing-by-way-too-fast spring going a while longer!
