WEIRTON -- The Weirton United Way will hold its "Taking It To The Hoop" 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on April 8-9 at Weir High.
The event is sponsored by Hancock County Savings Bank. Cost is $75 per team of three-four players and is open to anyone in third-grade and up. Register by March 24 to receive a free T-Shirt.

Softball league to have sign-ups
WINTERSVILLE -- The Tri-State Softball League will hold registration from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Christian Church.
There are three age groups for girls ages 5-18. Cost is $50 for the first child and $45 for the second.
First-time players must bring a copy of their birth certificates.
