Rough season continues for Brooke Bruins
HURRICANE — The Brooke football team dropped a 47-0 decision on the road at Hurricane on Friday. The Redskins held a 41-0 advantage at halftime and pounded out 343 yards of total offense. The Bruins were limited to just 118 yards.
Logan Williams went 4 of 9 passing for 37 yards through the air and Dalton Valero led the ground attack with 68 rushing yards on 14 carries.
Brooke lost a pair of fumbles, while forcing four Hurricane fumbles. The Bruins defense was able to recover two fumbles but couldn’t capitalize on the miscues. One of Brooke’s fumbles was recovered by the Redskins on a 60-yard scoop-and-score touchdown in the third quarter.
For Hurricane, Dylan Plumley completed 7 of 9 passes and totaled 152 yards through the air. He had touchdown passes of 37 and 14 yards. Christian Hill led the Redskins on the ground with 68 yards on eight carries.
With the win, Hurricane is now 4-0 and plays host to Spring Valley next week. The Bruins remain winless and remain on the road, traveling to rival Wheeling Park next week.
