MARIETTA — The bye week came at a good time for the Brooke football team. The Bruins opened the season with back-to-back victories, but the Green-and-Gold have lost two straight games after that. After having this past week off, the Bruins gets back at it as Brooke travels south to take on Marietta at 7 p.m. Friday night at Don Drumm Stadium. NEW MANCHESTER — It has been a long wait, but the Oak Glen football team is finally back home. CADIZ — Harrison Central is set to face Beaver Local for just the third time this century. Despite the Beavers joining the Buckeye 8 in 2013, this is only the second time since — the first coming last year — the two teams have squared off. Last year the Beavers rolled 48-14 at home. The previous meeting was back in 2001 with a similar result — Beavers 41, Huskies 0.
