RICHMOND — The season has not turned out the way the Edison and Harrison Central football teams would have liked for it to have gone. The Wildcats and Huskies enter this week’s matchup trying to stop the bleeding as Edison has lost three-straight games, while the Huskies have lost six straight. NEW MANCHESTER — The Oak Glen football team suffered a setback last week in the annual “Battle of the Bridge,” however, the Golden Bears are looking to get back on track this week against a former rival. YORKVILLE — Throughout the season, the Toronto football team has shown the ability to get up off the canvas and to win games in the late rounds. That was not the case last week as Toronto ran out of luck against Monroe Central. WEIRTON — One of the teams set to do battle Friday night at Jimmy Carey Stadium is going to finally get their elusive first victory.  The Weir High Red Riders are set to host the Cambridge Bobcats in a battle of teams seeking to get in the win column.  Weir High comes in 0-6, coming off a 45-3 loss at state-ranked Keyser last week. BRIDGEPORT — The Catholic Central football team is on a roll, having won three-straight and played itself back into the thick of the playoff race.
