Health care, helping homeless

To the editor:

Unlike many Democrats in Congress, I’ll admit when I’m wrong. A year ago I predicted the old Democrat party will dismantle in five years. Get a toe tag ready — it’ll probably be much sooner. The communists in this party believe it’s time for an all-out effort to turn America into Cuba. Hysterical Democrats say Trump is king and democracy is dead. Would a king allow them to demonstrate or allow them First Amendment rights? Do people who can’t tell the difference between a man and woman know the difference between king and president? Michelle Obama said America is not ready for a woman president. If she tells us what a woman is, maybe we will be. How do leftists celebrate Women’s History Month when they can’t tell what a woman is? Remember, Cpl. Clinger in “M *A * S*H” dressed as a woman to show he was mentally unstable. Who can reason with people who don’t know the difference?

Local gasoline is $2.85 a gallon. On Jan. 1, Trump’s tax cuts and regulation reductions take effect, and we’ll have more money in our pockets.

Barack Obama’s claim that his Affordable Health Care Act would save families $2,500 a year and allow you to keep your doctor and health carrier. He lied. He didn’t tell us that we have to absorb an $8,000 to $15,000 deductible first. If it’s so great, why did Chuck Schumer state during his shutdown that the act is the greatest crisis we have ever seen?

In her letter, “Where is Franciscan University?” (Nov. 9) Shirley Fisher-Ciancetta writes that the university should house and feed the homeless. Her comments appear to show contempt for FUS. She writes the Trump administration won’t help the needy. She forgot that Schumer cut off food for 42 million people on SNAP by closing the government. Senate Democrats boasted Americans must suffer — it’s the only leverage we have. Democrats didn’t want to feed Americans until illegal aliens were first cared for.

She complains the government is incapable of caring for those in need because they are not paying attention. Is she referring to President Joe Biden sleeping his term away on beaches, in the White House and at meetings? She’s upset the university isn’t doing what she believes it should. She offers no solutions except that FUS is obligated to do something. She misleads by saying Trump’s doing his best to eliminate people who have come to America. She doesn’t mention it’s only illegal aliens who sneaked in.

She ends with what some could interpret as a sarcastic remark, “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” I hope she will take her own advice. Jasmine Crockett makes Kamala Harris sound like Shakespeare.
