Many people are expressing frustration that President Donald Trump has not fulfilled all of his campaign promises. Prices are still high on many products, including energy and groceries.

No one seems to be giving an explanation about why these issues have not been resolved. I think that I can explain this situation by comparing it with house flipping.

People who flip houses buy dilapidated, abandoned houses at low prices. From their initial inspections, they develop a plan which includes the amount of time it will take to flip the house and the money needed for the repairs. We all know that President Joe Biden left our country in deplorable condition. Trump looked at the problems in our country and from his initial assessment, believed that he could fix the problems in a timely fashion.

When flippers do demolition of the house, many times they find hidden problems such as termite damage, mold, faulty wiring or leaky plumbing. These areas must be fixed before they can continue to improve the house. These fixes are costly and add more time to the schedule. When Trump took office, DOGE and cabinet members found many problems in their departments including waste, fraud and abuse, which have added more issues that must be managed leading to more time.

Flippers may receive a stop work order because they have not obtained a permit for specific work. This causes legal problems and adds more time. Many of Trump’s executive orders have been referred to Democrat judges who halt the executive orders. Government lawyers must then appeal the decision of the judges. Some of these appeals have gone all the way to the Supreme Court. This has wasted time in the implementation of the executive orders.

There comes a time when the flippers have finished the house and it is ready to be put on the market. It took more time and money than was projected, but the house has been fixed and passed inspections. It is safe and habitable. The flippers look at comparable houses in the local market to determine a price. Will they make money, lose money or break even? It all depends on factors that are out of their control.

Biden had four years to destroy our country. Trump has been in office for less than one year and has faced many consequences trying to fix our country. The first consequence was the condition in which the Biden administration left our country. The second were the legal barriers (including the recent Democrat government shutdown) that Democrats have used in an attempt to thwart Trump’s accomplishment of his goals. Trump is nowhere near the end of his attempts to fix our country and he still is dealing with issues totally out of his control. Trump will keep working to Make America Great Again for all Americans, even the ones who are wishing that he will fail.

Let’s be patient and give Trump our support. I believe we will all be winners in the end.
