Politically disagreeing

To the editor:

I enjoy the letters to the editor column. I try my best to understand the reasoning of many letter writers. Mr. Eddie Abdalla’s recent letter (Enough with the hate-filled rhetoric, April 6) set me to thinking how he sees the political landscape. I must say very different than mine and apparently 72 percent of Jefferson County voters. I doubt my counter opinions will have any affect on his views.

He states the border issue is complicated. Why? There are laws on the books governing this. What’s so complicated about calling people breaking our law entering America illegal? There is a pathway to citizenship, however, it’s not for people illegally crossing the border. Mr. Abdalla states Democrats are in touch with America’s political narrative. Can he explain why better than 80 percent of Americans want illegal immigrants deported, want efficiency in government spending, reduce waste and abuse attributed to President Biden’s policies and federal bureaucrats. He state’s Mr. Bardone’s argument doesn’t reflect reality. Is Abdalla telling us not to believe our lying eyes, than 15 million people didn’t sneak into America under Biden’s watch? It’s clever how Mr. Abdalla discussing this issue refers to illegals as undocumented immigrants and not as illegal aliens as stated in U.S. law.

Why are Democrats against identifying and saving billions of dollars in errors, abuse, fraud in Social Security, Medicare, welfare systems? Why do Democrats only have 24 percent success. Biden spent $8 billion on building 10 electric car charging stations and electric buses that caught fire. Biden deliberately inflated monthly employment growth records. He flew in almost 600,000 illegals in the dark of night to undercut American workers. Mr. Abdalla states “men in women’s sports” is a complex one and Mr. Bardone demonized those advocating for transgender rights. First, Abdalla should be wise not to use the word demonize. Does he not know or hear Democrat members of Congress and protesters demonize Trump, Musk, DOGE, Republicans? Does he support Maxine Waters, Jasmine Crockett, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff’s hate speech and Democratic protesters burning Tesla cars, buildings, federal courthouses? Second, Bardone, as I read it, didn’t demonize anyone. He stated men, no matter what they wear or act, are male, therefore stronger, faster, etc. than females. Transgenders may be seeking fairness to be recognized, but they don’t seek fairness when they compete against women. Mr. Abdalla states Bardone used hyperbole against Hunter and Joe Biden. Was it hyperbole Hunter’s laptop is real? Cocaine was found in the White House? Joe diagnosed unfit to stand trial? Biden’s staff and Kamala Harris knew of his mental decline and hid it from the public and Biden’s wife chairing a cabinet meeting and Joe’s disasterous debate?

Mr. Abdalla is concerned that Mr. Bardone used inflammatory language. Democrats in Congress swearing and calling President Trump a Nazi, dictator, Hitler is OK with you, Mr. Abdalla? Is this not polarizing as you charge Mr. Bardone with?
