To the editor:

A recent letter by the chairman of the Jefferson County Democratic Party was a rebuttal to the “deeply misguided and one-sided portrayal of the Democratic Party and its policies” by another writer. Here are my thoughts on some of those policies.

The chairman states that “the criticism of Joe Biden, Hunter and various political figures is hyperbole that clouds facts”. It is a fact that Biden was not mentally fit to be president, something that we saw with our own eyes. Who was running the country for those 4 years? Biden’s DOJ attempted to prosecute Donald Trump because he lawfully had documents from his presidency safely locked at Mar-a-logo. Biden illegally took documents when he was a senator and vice president, stored them in his garage and shared them with his ghost writer. He couldn’t be prosecuted because of mental decline. Fifty-one past and present directors of various intelligence agencies wrote a letter telling us that Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation. Did a Russian spy photograph Hunter in his cocaine-fueled orgy and save the pictures on Hunter’s laptop? If the purpose of Senator Corey Booker’s 25-hour speech was to clarify the Democrat’s policies, he failed miserably. Representative Jasmine Crocket called wheelchair-bound Governor Abbot “Governor Hot Wheels”. This is cruel. She stated that the deportation of illegal aliens will lead to increased cost of homes and food. Is this hyperbole, rhetoric or facts?

Democrats call illegal aliens “undocumented”. Democrats claim that we need comprehensive immigration reform so people who illegally entered our country can have a path to citizenship. There is a path to citizenship–go back to their country of origin, apply to immigrate legally, and when they arrive here go through the process to become a citizen. These people paid thousands of dollars to coyotes to get to our country in organized caravans. Not everyone who comes here needs asylum–there are criteria for asylum and a person needs a valid reason to ask for asylum.

God created two genders, male and female (Genesis 1:18-25). There are some people who suffer from gender dysphoria, but many of the biological men who are participating in female sports do not suffer from this mental disorder. No female should have to compete with a biological male in female sports. Biological males are physically different from biological females, which gives them advantages over females and at times has led to females being injured by males. No female should be subjected to a naked biological male in the female locker room. The Democrats’ support of trans people was evident on Easter Sunday 2024 when the Biden White House celebrated “Trans Awareness Day”, completely ignoring the holiest day of the Christian calendar. Democrat policies support “trans rights” while ignoring the rights of the rest of us.

These are some important issues for me. This information was obtained from reputable news outlets. 77 million Americans including me believed in Trump’s policies, as evidenced by our votes in November 2024.
