Democrats care about power, not citizens
To the editor:
“Promises made, promises kept.” President Donald Trump has been in office for almost four weeks. He has moved quickly to undo the harm that previous administrations, especially Democrats, did to the citizens of our country. He pledged to find and stop government fraud and waste. The following are examples of what has been uncovered so far.
The U.S. Agency for International Development was created to “feed the world and combat disasters and disease” (CBS News.) The following are examples of the programs that USAID has funded: DEI scholarships in Burma, a DEI musical in Ireland, a trans opera in Colombia, a trans comic book in Peru, sex change operations and trans programs in Guatemala and promotion of atheism in Nepal. Sen. Ted Cruz reported that hundreds of millions of dollars have been sent to Hamas from USAID. There also were payments made to news organizations that gave false narratives about the Biden administration, including covering for his deteriorating mental and physical health. Does this sound like feeding the world and combating disasters and disease?
Other examples of questionable government spending include FEMA paying $59 million to house illegal migrants in New York luxury hotels, three-month vendor contracts extended for multiple years and questionable Social Security payments. There are veterans living on the street, people with mental illnesses who are not being adequately treated, and people who have suffered disasters who are homeless. Many North Carolinians are still living in tents and people in Los Angeles have lost everything in the wildfires. The people in East Palestine are still dealing with contaminated soil and water. The people in Maui are still trying to recover from the disaster that destroyed their homes.
The Democrats in Washington are staging protests and taking legal actions over Trump’s initiatives. Government worker unions and Democrats are finding liberal judges in blue states to block Trump’s executive orders. Democrat senators and representatives have taken to the streets to protest Trump’s executive orders. They have threatened to shut down the government and to resort to violence in the streets. Instead of working for the American people, they are protesting in the streets. They don’t seem to care about corruption, fraud and waste. Could it be because they have profited from the corruption, fraud and waste? Many of them are using the “F” word. They are acting like spoiled children who will do whatever they can to be in power and continue the corruption fraud and waste of taxpayer’s money.
The Democrats in Washington are upset that they lost in the November elections. Instead of analyzing why a majority of the American people (77 million) turned against their agenda, they are acting like a grade-school team that lost a game. They are yelling and whining and blaming everybody but themselves. These are the people who are supposed to be representing the American people, but their main goal is to have power. “Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil.” (Isaiah 5:20)
