Vote Republican in November

To the editor:

Democrats from the top of the ticket to the local county headquarters are quick to tell us that the economy is fine. They actually think it's never been better. Their beliefs are hard to swallow for any of us who have bothered to live in the real world since January 2021.

Bought some groceries lately? Filled up your tank? Paid your rent? Paid your electric bill? Tried to get a loan?

The Biden-Harris administration has conducted a three-plus year assault on our economy and one of the undeniable facts is that our current problems can be traced back to two things: Energy prices and government spending.

The attack on the electricity and gasoline producers under this administration is directly responsible for your bills going up. When electricity costs more to produce because they have forced dozens of coal plants to shut down, AEP or your landlord isn't going to eat that loss. You get stuck with the check.

And when gasoline costs more, the truckers charge more, which means the store pays more for the goods, and guess what: You get stuck with the check.

The government spending more money than it takes in, and then printing more money to cover devalues our currency and makes the dollar in your pocket worth less. Now you're lucky if you can afford to pay the check.

It didn't used to be like this. It doesn't have to be like this. Vote Republican in November.
