Saline Township says thank you

To the editor:

The Saline Township Trustees, the Hammondsville Church and Boy Scout Troop 49 would like to express their appreciation to the JB Green Team for the polywood picnic tables with benches we were able to purchase with the Community Recycle Grants they awarded. The tables are the beginning of our new community outdoor green space at the complex,

Thank you, Jefferson County commissioners, for the parks and recreation grant to purchase basketball hoops, sports equipment and to line our basketball and pickleball courts. This is a wonderful asset for our complex, to house so many sporting possibilities, and for our residents to take part in playing together.

Heritage Thermal, we are grateful for your support in awarding your environmental grant. We are purchasing a couple of polywood benches and several planters to use in our outdoor area. These will be black and gray to match the tables.

We are especially grateful for our grant-writing team of Sis Abdalla, Kris Holland and Rhonda Householder, who have put in numerous hours and continue to work together to better our community.

We invite you all to come out and take part in using our new green space and join the fun. Our dedication service is at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 during our summer bash. We are excited to celebrate our community and all of the great things that are happening in Saline Township.

This was organized by the Saline Township Revitalization Group. #meet your neighbor; #build saline township

Thank you to all.
