To the editor:
The Mingo Knights of Columbus held a Car Cruise on August 11th.
We had a lot of cars at our event. It was a great day, and the weather was beautiful. I want to say thank you to our sponsors who made a donation to this event.
They included Jason Kopras, owner of J.K. Auto Glass; William "Bill" Marracino, owner of Mingo Auto Parts; Robert Merriman, owner of Wintersville Trophy Shop; Rich Coburn for working as the disc jockey; and Ice Cream Island from Cadiz.
Our brother Knights who were on hand to help included Don Temple, Wayne Parks, John Balzano, Mike Potenzini and Scott Fabian.
Finishing first was Jim Crews with a 1977 Dodge Charger Daytona. Second was Bob Carpenter with a 1952 Chevrolet Truck, and third was Eric Hart with a 1967 Ford Mustang.
