To the editor:
The independent United States presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is a member of one of America's most famous and highly respected political families, the Kennedys, is the third child of Robert F. Kennedy Sr., who served as attorney general of the United States, primarily under his brother, John F. Kennedy, who served our great country as its 35th president, and later as a U.S. senator, representing the state of New York, and was considered to be a primary presidential candidate on the Democratic ticket until he was horrifically assassinated in June 1968.
RFK Jr., who holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia, reportedly had a very troubled youth, leading to his expulsion from two prominent prep schools, as a result of his illegal drug use, which is said to have continued throughout his tenure in college, but, reportedly, he has been drug-free since his arrest for drug possession in 1983.
Professionally, he has served for many years as a very prominent and successful environmental lawyer, being credited for helping to clean up New York's Hudson River and polluted waterways by legal means throughout the country.
However, Kennedy, enhanced by his celebrity and high national profile as a result of his family's national and world prominence, has become a well-known promoter of scientifically debunked myths, such as his belief that vaccines cause autism; the COVID-19 vaccine is the deadliest vaccine ever made, stating that the "COVID-19 vaccine mandate was more repulsive than the anti-Jewish laws imposed in Nazi Germany;" and that no vaccine is safe and effective, as well as many other postulations which are most disconcerting.
In addition, Kennedy has questioned if it was actually Sirhan Sirhan who murdered his father, even though the entire tragic incident was caught on film, proving that he, indeed, was the assassin of RFK Sr.
Kennedy, largely as a result of respect for his family name, continues to receive considerable media coverage and notoriety, which has registered with a considerable number of American voters who could potentially deprive President Joe Biden of key Democratic votes in the upcoming election, as a result of the Kennedy family's longtime respect and prominence with Democratic voters.
As a result, the close-knit Kennedy family , almost unanimously, has pledged their support for Biden for the good of the country.
It is my wish that RFK Jr. will reconsider his pursuit of the presidency and do what is best for our great country, and the Kennedy family, and resign from the race in the near future.
