Will Veterans Bridge be closed?

To the editor:

I'm giving the Veterans Memorial Bridge an 80 percent chance of being shut down in the next two months, probably by mid-summer at the latest.

With all the increased traffic, lane closures and accidents happening, it seems like they're trying to figure out what to do about the structural problems without telling anyone. Mark my words, steer clear of that bridge. They shut down the Fort Steuben Bridge and never did a darn thing to fix its problems. What makes anyone think the Veterans Bridge is any better?
