With the death of Vladimir Putin's rival, Alexei Navalny, comparisons are emerging with Putin's treatment of his opponents and Joe Biden Democrat's treatment of Donald Trump, Biden's apparent opponent in this year's election. The Democrats want to keep Trump from becoming president.
Trump was president and according to the presidential document act, presidents can take classified documents when they leave office. Thump's documents were locked at Mar-a-Lago and protected by Secret Service agents. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton took classified documents, which she was not allowed to possess, and stored them on a personal computer. Biden took classified documents from his years as a senator and vice president, which he was not permitted to take, stored them in multiple places including his garage and shared them with a ghost writer. Clinton and Biden committed real crimes and were not prosecuted.
Al Gore, Hillary Clinton and Stacey Abrams all disputed the results of their elections. Gore's dispute led to weeks of anguish for the people of our country. Trump questioned the results of the 2020 election. We know that this was an unprecedented election with ballots being mailed to homes in which people no longer lived (I witnessed this with my daughter who lives in Michigan) along with other questionable actions. Trump is the only person being prosecuted for questioning the results of an election.
E. Jean Caroll claimed that Trump raped her in the dressing room of a department store. She could not remember the date and she did not report this "rape" when it supposedly happened. With no evidence a New York jury determined that she was sexually assaulted and he was ordered to pay her money. After this miscarriage of justice, Trump called her crazy and a liar and she sued in civil court. A New York jury found Trump guilty of defaming her and awarded her $83 millions. She went on television shows and laughed with the hosts, talking about how she would spend the money on luxuries. Meanwhile many real rape victims never receive justice in the legal system.
Trump has been charged in New York with fraudulent business practices by overinflating the worth of his properties to secure loans for his businesses. This has been disputed by reputable sources. He repaid all those loans within the time frame and no lending institutions were harmed. He was fined more than $355 million dollars and is not permitted to do business in New York for three years. This was brought by an attorney general who campaigned on "getting Trump." How can somebody be charged and convicted of a victimless crime?
There are more attempts to persecute Trump, but there is a word limit, so I cannot discuss any more.
The only conclusion that an intelligent person can make is that the Democrats are afraid that Trump will win the presidency against cognitively-impaired Biden. Their only recourse is to try to criminalize Trump and hopefully jail him. Are the Biden Democrats turning the United States into Putin's Russia?
