Toronto flags project growing

To the editor:

The Toronto Beautification Committee would like to thank all who donated to the annual Toronto Flag Fund in 2023.

The flag fund was started by Mayor Bob Wilson shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, attack on America and has continued since. It provides the funding for the purchase and replacement of the American flags which fly over many streets in Toronto.

Thank you to the following who have donated for 2023: Chris Augustynowicz, Nikki Cable, Class of 1968, James and Trish Corwin, John Cucarese, Melvin Funk, Cindy Fuster, Ernest and Jeanine Keenan, Frank Krajovik, Frank McEwen Jr., Dan and Karen Mellott, Camille and Tom Miller, Linda Morris, Art and Virginia Myers, Carol Oprisch, Elaine Phelps, Deborah Puskarich, Susan Reese, Ridge Machine and Welding Co., Dan and Amanda Robertson, Carol Rogers, Ken and Mary Stevens, Ted Vukelic, Eva Williams, Sandra Zook and Susan Zorbini.

Flags were donated in honor of or in memory of the following: All veterans, Loretta Bertram, Gary Bonnizzo, John F. Clark, Class of 1968 deceased, Jesse Fulton, William Fulton, Jane Funk, William Hanlin, Wesley Jacobsen, Terry Jones, Kip and Dorothy Lamantia, Jay and Norris Mann, Nadine McEwen, Elizabeth McVann, Jay McVann, Rich Puskarich, Richard Puskarich, Dorothy and Art Robertson, Eva Sweda Cunningham, Fern Piatt Vukelic and Ray Zorbini.

Keep the flags flying above the streets of Toronto. Donations are accepted in memory of someone dear.
