To the editor:
A recent letter to the editor from the Chairman of the Jefferson County Democrat Party invited Republicans who were once Democrats to return to the Democrat Party ("Proud Democrats fighting for you," Nov. 26.) I will explain why I left the Democrat Party and cannot in good conscience return.
I left the Democrat Party during the Clinton administration. Clinton sexually exploited an intern and then committed perjury. He was impeached but not removed from office, as the Democrats in Congress would not remove him. Clinton's NAFTA led to methamphetamine abuse in our country. Pseudoephedrine is one ingredient in methamphetamine. Because of NAFTA, trucks from Mexico could smuggle pseudoephedrine into our country because they were not always inspected.
Obama pledged to fundamentally change our country and he did. He used our tax money to finance climate change pseudoscience and the manufacturing of ineffective alternative energy sources including solar panels. He divided our country along racial lines which continues today. He criticized conservatives who did not support him by saying the we cling to our guns and our Bibles.
Here are some, but not all, of my issues with the Biden administration. Bidenomics has led to inflation which is apparent every time we go to the grocery store. Biden and Democrat governors support the pseudoscience of climate change and are attempting to interfere with our lives. They waste our tax dollars subsidizing electric vehicles which sit in car lots while people are waiting months to get dependable gasoline-powered vehicles. Biden stopped our drilling of fossil fuels, including energy-efficient, clean burning natural gas, which has led to increased costs of our utilities.
Electric cars use batteries made in China. Generating electricity using windmills is ineffective and hazardous to wildlife and our environment. Birds are killed by windmills and windmill farms in the ocean have disrupted the marine wildlife. Remember all the people who died during the winter in Texas because the windmills that generated their electricity froze? Biden and many Democrats support abortion on demand during any stage of pregnancy. They use our tax dollars to subsidize Planned Parenthood, the organization that murders thousands of unborn babies every year. Biden's support of transgenders has led to female athletes being forced to compete with males who dress like females and claim to be female, but are biological males. These males haven't won when competing with other males, so they claim that they are female. Because of their body strength they are able to win over female athletes. They use female locker rooms and expose themselves to female athletes when they undress and shower. This used to be called indecent exposure and was prosecuted.
Biden and Democrat lawmakers support transgender athletes over biological female athletes. Biden's border crisis, funded by our tax dollars, has brought millions of unvetted migrants into our country along with human trafficking and fentanyl trafficking.
I don't agree with the Democrat Party on any of these issues and more. Their policies and actions are against my moral and ethical principles. That is why I left the Democrat Party.
