Lost pride, lost respect

1 min read

To the editor:

A very beautiful and picturesque cemetery has little respect for itself.

The lack of a little care is replaced with impatience and laziness for new grave site appearances. A rake and shovel are not expensive equipment to buy. It should not be left to the grieving, disabled spouse to travel back to the cemetery with his own tools to fix a new site for it to be viewed as presentable to family members.

It's such a sad situation for a beautiful cemetery to lose self-respect for itself.

As a former Richmond resident, I write please take a little pride in your cemetery and your work for others.
