To the editor:
Last Saturday was Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, celebrating the armistice with Germany that ended World War I.
So, what else happened last Saturday? Well, the wannabe-dictator Donald Trump held a rally and called everyone outside his cult "vermin." He said he was going to build camps and have the military round up people and put them in these camps. Boy does this sound like Putin and Hitler? Apparently, he thinks the military will be his?
In 2018 he visited France for the centennial anniversary of the end of World War I. He said he didn't want to visit the graves of American soldiers buried in the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris because "Why should I go to that cemetery? It's filled with losers." and the 1,800 Marines killed in Belleau Woods were "suckers" for getting killed.
On Memorial Day 2017 as he and Gen. John Kelly stood in Arlington Cemetery among those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan he said "I don't get it. What was in it for them?" John McCain was not a hero, he was a loser because he got captured and was a POW -- "I like people who weren't captured."
And what about the Gold Star families? I have to bite my tongue on that one.
He said retired Gens. Kelly and Mark Milley, who devoted more than 40 years of their lives protecting our country, should be executed for treason. Because they told the truth about him? Kelly said he attacked our service members and veterans behind closed doors. This wannabe has no respect for our military, Constitution or the rule of law.
Do those of you who served in our military or had family that didn't come home still support this loser?
