Reproductive rights. As a woman, I am appalled that other women don't see that there is a new life involved once they become pregnant. That is a new life and they do not have a right to kill that life. The child is separate from them. Science has proven that.
In regard to our youth who become pregnant: With Issue 1, the parents wouldn't have to know and a teen could get an abortion without the parents knowing. Is that what we want? Also with Issue 1, if a teen is questioning their sexual identity they can try to alter their gender without the parents knowledge. Is that what we want?
We are losing our rights as parents, and that is dangerous. It must not be allowed for someone else to take our children and let them make these choices without their parents.
Issue 1 is a radical amendment that could expand abortion through the ninth month of pregnancy and also take away the rights of parents to talk with their children about life changing decisions.
Please vote no on Issue 1.
