To the editor:
The citizens of Steubenville have an opportunity in November to elect two new City Council members, Ted Gorman, Steubenville High School principal, for the Fifth Ward seat, and Scott Dressel, who served on City Council a few years ago, for the at large city council seat (as a write-in candidate.)
In addition, Councilwoman Asantewa Anyabwile, is up for re-election for the First Ward seat.
All three of these candidates would be an asset to the city of Steubenville. All three of these candidates care about the future of our city and the well-being of its citizens and have proven that by the actions they have taken in their private lives. All of them in their own way have proven themselves as leaders and people who get things done for our city.
The city of Steubenville could benefit immensely if these three individuals were to win in November. I encourage the citizens in our great city to vote for these three qualified candidates to push our city forward and to make a positive difference in our city government.
