To the editor:
You are special, one of a kind. Not one in a million. Not one in a billion. You are one in forever. In the history of the world there was not another person the same as you, and there will never be another person the same as you in the future.
Science has shown us that at the very moment of conception, a unique person is created, an individual genetically different than any other human being ever created or who ever will be created. With this fact established, then it is also a fact that every abortion ends the life of a unique person. A life ended by abortion is a life that will never be created again. The wondrous life in the womb has a right to keep living, but abortion tragically ends that life.
Ending the life of an innocent human being should never be tolerated in a society, yet that is what is occurring with abortion. No doubt, there are difficult situations in life. But the response to a difficult situation must not be to end the life of an innocent person. Family, friends, churches, and society as a whole should be supportive of a mother and father and unborn child, including those times when the circumstances are difficult. God, the creator of all life, has given us the precious gift of life. Let us together choose life.
