Warnings for the future

(Editor's note: This letter was submitted by Kim Gagich of Wellsburg on behalf of her mother, Nola Campbell, who died on July 5. Gagich said her mother was a big fan of the weekly letters to the editor and dictated this to her shortly before her death.)

To the editor:

As a young girl, I lived through World War II. Around the radio, we listened nightly as a narcissistic, demented psychopath plowed through Europe, conquering country after country. Millions were killed; millions of Jewish brothers and sisters were burned in the ovens.

Are you aware that after Hitler took over, the civil police, the military and the fiduciary succumbed to the boot of the Nazis? It only took the evil one 36 days to take over the government.

Then, he marched on, stealing, killing and pillaging the wealth of nations, subjugating the population. He was never going to make Germany great again.

Power, wealth, world domination and tyranny were his dark desires, as well as death and destruction.

In my mind's eye, I can see them: Hitler, Himmler, Goering, Goebbels, etc. The Goebbels poisoned their six children, lest they suffer the shame of the evil of their parents. They were murderers all.

And so the wicked winds of the east have kicked up, blowing the duster of specters to repeat the horrors.

Meet your future wannabee leaders:

Donald J. Trump: A thief, a thug, a con man, a liar, shiftless, a grifter, destroyer and traitor.

Steve Bannon: "We will build that wall." No. Bannon and friends bought a yacht and split the millions. His friends went to prison -- Bannon was pardoned.

Rudy Giulliani: Wannabee mafia kingmaker.

Gen. Michael Flynn (retired): Seize voting machines, order martial law and overturn the election. Pardoned.

John Eastman: Frightening. God save us.

Paul Manafort: A traitor -- there is Ukranian blood on his hands. Pardoned.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis: An abhorrent man. A book-burner who closets gays and transgenders.

Marjorie Taylor Greene: "Send me money" -- a mean girl gone mad. "Send me some more money."

George Santos: A clown fraud. "No, send me money."

Laruen Boebert: Pitiful -- she is not grounded in reality. What is trying to jump out of her mouth? A snake? An owl?

Stephen Miller: El Diablo.

Jeffrey Clark: An attorney general pretender.

Grandmothers -- stand up. Protect your future female kin's right to control her own body. It should be a choice between her and God -- not you or I.

Vote.
