Vote yes on Issue 1

To the editor:

Men cannot be women, and women cannot be men--period. Biology doesn't care about your feelings, neither do I. Voting against Joe Biden is voting against Vice President Kamala Harris. Think about her as president. Democrats aren't ashamed of who they are or what they do -- that's the job of their parents.

In her letter of July 8 ("Court decisions are disturbing,") Marji DeFede, president of local chapter of NOW, moaned about six Supreme Court justices who followed the Constitution, but there was not a word about the three female justices who voted with emotion not with the Constitution, one of whom can't define what a woman is. I would love to hear NOW's definition of a woman. I am conservative and I'm glad my mother was a woman.

The writer said she feels for the 42 million people who have to repay their college loans. She apparently doesn't care about the 280 million who will have to pay for these deadbeats.

I agree with Democrats -- vote and vote early.

If Issue 1 passes with a yes vote in August, the radical pro-abortion amendment on the November ballot is more likely to fail and may even be pulled.

In parentheses are what I feel are the true interpretation following the deceptive and misleading wording supporters used in the bill.

Here is a breakdown of the bill they want on November ballot: Article I, Section 22, The Right to Reproductive Freedom (unregulated abortion) with Protections for Health and Safety.

A. Every individual (Including minors -- no parental consent needed) has a right to make, carry out one's own reproductive decisions, including but not limited to (Wide open--can cover sex-change surgeries and more) decisions on: Contraception, fertility treatments, continuing ones own pregnancy, miscarriage care (This is fear-mongering; care through and after miscarriage has and always will be legal.)

B. The state shall not, directly or indirectly, burden (A legal term -- laws restricting abortion are considered "burdens" by activist judges.), penalize, prohibit, interfere with, or discriminate against either:

An individual's voluntary exercise of this right (unregulated abortion) or a person or entity (coercion, anyone who coerces a girl into abortion would be protected by law. Think about this: Your 14-year-old daughter is impregnated by her 32-year-old volleyball coach. He can coerce her to have an abortion without your knowledge or consent. He is a pedophile who just got away with rape.) who assists an individual exercising this right …

However, an abortion may (could) be prohibited after fetal viability … in no case can such an abortion be prohibited if, in the professional judgment of the pregnant patient's treating physician (the abortionist can be that physician) it is necessary … to protect the pregnant patient's life of health. (Precedent, this is not just physical health, but also emotional, financial and more. Thus if a woman signs, babies could be killed legally during all nine months.)

Something is seriously wrong when Democrats are offended by everything but sin.

Vote yes on Issue 1.
