Our Place says thank you

To the editor:

Our Place Activity and Resource Center 50-Plus would like to thank the Rev. Jason Elliott of First Westminster Presbyterian Church for having the insight to see the need for a senior ministry. The grand opening on June 6 was a huge success and proved the need for additional senior services in the local area.

Our Place is a community activity and resource center designed for adults 50 and older who want to have fun, be active, stay healthy and be informed.

We have had a tremendous amount of support from the local community, senior service agencies, media and businesses. Our Place would like to say thank you. Participating in the event were: A&B Pharmacy and Diamond RX; ADDUS HomeCare; AIM Women's Center; Area Agency on Aging Region 9; Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Consumer Protection Section; Capital Health Care; Carter Health Care; CHANGE Inc.; Dixon Health Care; Friendship Room; IC Care, In-Home Companion Care; Jaye Lynn Hockenberry; Jefferson County Adult Protective Services; Jefferson Metropolitan Housing Authority; M&M True Value Hardware; Medi Home Care; Murray's Restaurant; Naples Spaghetti House; Ohio Department of Insurance; Prime Time Senior Center; Rolling Hills Rehabilitation Care Center; Schuetz Funeral Home; Sienna Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation; SouthernCare Hospice Services; SVRTA; Texas Roadhouse; Trinity Health System; Valley Hospice; Visiting Angels; Wal-Mart -- Steubenville; Yohman's Liquidation and all of Our Place volunteers.
