Steve J. Markis, age 91, fell asleep in the arms of the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Gables Care Center, Hopedale, where he lived the last five & a half years of his life. He was born on April 3, 1934, in Steubenville. He is the son of the late Stamatia (Amantos) Markis and John S. Markis, who emigrated to the United States from the beautiful, historic Greek Island of Chios. He was a resident of Richmond. Marlene M. Kuhn, 88, of Toronto passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at Gables Care Center. She was born February 27, 1937 in Steubenville. She is the daughter of the late John and Pearl Jellenshek Blabac. Also preceding her in death is her husband, James Kuhn. Marlene was retired from Jefferson County Children Services, where she was an administrator.
