Daniel Kovaleski, 70, of Steubenville, died Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Trinity West. He was born October 6, 1955 in Steubenville. He was the son of the late Joseph and Virginia Zalewski Kovaleski. He was also preceded in death by his infant brother, Louis. Daniel retired from Kroger, where he worked for 44 years as a night turn store clerk. He was a dedicated union employee who instilled his values and work ethic into his children. Thomas J. “Pete” Petras, 84, of Toronto, OH, passed away Friday, February 13, 2026, at his home under hospice care. Tom was born on June 5, 1941, in Toronto, son of the late Carl and Mary (Herrick) Petras. He was also preceded in death by his son, David Petras, brother Carl, and sister Cecilia Petras. He worked as a Craneman at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. until his retirement with 42 years of service. Tom was a Veteran of the US Navy and served his country during the Vietnam War.
