Chariessa M. ‘Sam’ Coil, 89, of Toronto, OH, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, in the Valley Hospice Care Center in Steubenville, OH. Sam was born in the Gault family home, Dec. 10, 1934, in Toronto (Costonia), daughter of the late Woodrow W. and Ethel M. (Still) Gault. She was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson Union HS and attended the former Bray’s Chapel UM Church. Sam held many jobs over the years before retiring from Edison Local School as a cook. Betty Jean (Salatino) Corley of Weirton passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Valley Hospice Care Center North. She was 80 years old. Betty was born in Wellsville OH., on June 4, 1943, a daughter to Dale and Jean Blackledge Miller. She was a 1961 graduate of Wellsville High School and had worked most of her life in restaurants but most recently as an auditor in the hospitality industry. Francis E. “Buzz” Elliott, 84, of Richmond, Ohio, passed away on December 12, 2023. He was born on April 7, 1939, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Charles Elliott and Helen (Shook) Capen. In addition to his parents, Francis is preceded in death by his son, Richard Elliott; his brothers, Gibby, Jr, and Gary Elliott; and his sisters, Sis Everhart and Charmaine Mieczkowski.
