Roger Allan Okey, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on September 17, 2026, at AnMed Medical Center. Born in Sioux Falls, SD, on April 25, 1947, Roger was the son of the late Charles Asher and Norma Louise Okey. His brother Jeff preceded him in death.
Roger provided a lifetime of service to several industries before retiring in 2014. He was a member of St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church and a graduate of West Virginia University. Above all, he was a loving husband, an amazing father, and a wonderful grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his granddaughters - picking them up from school, watching them play soccer, or just talking about sports. He was a patient and generous man who will be deeply missed.
Roger is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pamela Ann Okey, whom he married on July 27, 1974; one son, Ryan Asher Okey and his wife, Billie of Anderson, SC; two grandchildren, Madison Okey of Clemson, SC and Ryleigh Okey of Anderson, SC; and one brother, David Okey of Plymouth, MN.
