Otis Floyd Rush, Sr., 87, of Proctor, WV passed peacefully on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at his home with his family by his side.
Otis was born July 15, 1939, in Proctor, WV son of the late John O. and Lucy V. (Trader) Rush.
He was a retired plater operator for the tin mill in Weirton, WV. Otis loved to golf and at 78 he had a 3 handicap, playing all sports, hunting, fishing and mowing with his Kobota Tractor. He was a member of the New Martinsville Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Crystal Matask; grandson, David Cline; siblings, Kenneth Rush, Edgar Rush, infant - baby John, Hilda Whiteman, Wanda Smith, Babe Rush, Lois Lawrence and Sue Ames.
Surviving is his wife of sixty-eight years, Glenda Rush; two children, Otis Rush, Jr. of Proctor, WV and Darla Rush of New Cumberland, WV; grandchildren, Preston Rush-Hollingsworth, Meika North (Otis' football buddy) and Bryant McClain; several great grandchildren; sister, Diana (Roger) Wade of Proctor, WV; brother, Paul (Tersa) Rush of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Otis' request was there would be no services. Memorial contributions may be made, in his name, to Journey Hospice, 314 S Wells St., Sistersville, WV 26175.
