Jean L. Ferroni, 98, of Steubenville died Friday, October 16, 2026, at her home. She was born August 9, 1928, in Steubenville to the late William and Hazel Boyd Harris. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Ferroni and sister, Marilyn Chriswell.
Jean was the owner and operator of the former Ferroni's Service Station for over 55 years. She was Catholic by faith and loved to bowl, read, quilt, crochet, and sew. Jean also made the best nut rolls around.
Surviving are two sons, Edward (Janet) Ferroni of Naperville, IL and William (Terri) Ferroni of Wintersville; one daughter, Jane (Rich) Humienny of Steubenville; three grandchildren, Christopher (Erin) Ferroni, Raymond (Angela) Humienny, and Lindsay Humienny; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Aiden Humienny.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. Funeral liturgy with Mass will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Fr. Michael Gossett will celebrate. Burial will take place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
