Mildred M. Yurko, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 3, 2026.
She was born on September 20, 1932, in Weirton, WV, the daughter of the late Walter J. and Theresa (Ewasky) Larch, Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Richard M. Yurko, who died on July 21, 2007. Richard was the love of her life, her walking companion, her sports companion, and her best friend. After 19 years apart, they are finally together. Mildred was also preceded in death by her daughter- in-law, Susan Yurko, and her son-in-law, Jon Cook.
Mildred is survived by her son, Richard M. "Dink" Yurko, Jr. and his wife Rosemary, of Bridgeport, WV; her two daughters, Judy Cook of Weirton, WV, and Janice Hunter and her husband Tom of Wintersville, OH; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In accordance with Mildred's wishes, no visitation or funeral service will be held. The family appreciates your love and support during this difficult time.
