James "Jimmy" Bruno Corasaniti, 66, of Steubenville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 20, 2026. Jimmy was born on December 28, 1959, in Steubenville, Ohio, to the late Albert and Santa Saraceno Corasaniti.
He attended St. Peter's Grade School and was a proud member of the Steubenville Catholic Central High School Class of 1978. He went on to work at a local beer distributor before spending almost forty years with the Environmental Services team at Trinity Health System. Jimmy was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a faithful parishioner of St. Peter's Church.
Jimmy loved spending time with his family and treasured the memories they made while traveling together to places such as Texas, Chicago, Florida, The Netherlands, and most recently, his first family cruise. Those trips meant so much to him, and his family will always be grateful for the time they shared. His loved ones who lived nearby will especially cherish the many lunches, dinners, and gatherings they enjoyed together.
He also loved sports, whether he was watching Ohio State football with friends or cheering on the Detroit Lions or New York Mets. Jimmy remained loyal to his teams no matter what kind of season they were having. He was the epitome of someone who would "give you the shirt off his own back." He lived a life devoted to his church and community and was always willing to help anyone in need. He never asked for anything in return, but he was always grateful for the time it allowed him to spend with others.
He is survived by his sister Virginia (Sanford) Harlan of Follansbee, WV; his brother Anthony Corasaniti of Bethel Park, PA; his nieces and nephews Melissa Harlan, Lance (Katy) Harlan, Joseph (Jamie) Corasaniti, and Elizabeth (Greg) Marsh; his uncles Anthony (Edith) Saraceno of Delaware, OH, and Ignatius (Jeannie) Saraceno of Punta Gorda, FL; and his close-knit group of cousins. One of Jimmy's greatest joys in recent years was becoming a great-uncle to Jeremiah, Kaylee, and Piper Harlan; Georgina, Enzo, and Camilla Corasaniti; and Reed, Sophia, and Graham James Marsh.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-6 p.m. at Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, OH. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church, with Fr. Timothy Huffman as celebrant. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Peter's Church, Steubenville, Ohio.
