Leonard Theodore Bowers III 62, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at Weirton Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Born on September 13, 1963 in Wheeling, WV to the late Leonard Bowers Jr. and Margaret (Hadley) Brooks. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother Charles Brooks, maternal grandparents Shannon and Virginia Hadley, paternal grandparents Leonard and Anna Bowers, Uncles Ralph and William Hadley.
Leonard graduated from Brooke High School in 1982. He was an avid sports fan rooting for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh Penguins and the Cleveland Browns. When he was not watching sports, Leonard was a family man, having gave up most of his life to take excellent care of his beloved brother Charles.
He is survived by his loving mother Margaret Brooks at home as well as many close friends and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday August 30, 2026, from 2 p.m. till time of service at 4 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV with Pastor Tim Colvin Officiating.
Inurnment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
