Darlene Blanche (Beatty) Kakascik, 87, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away on August 21, 2026, at UPMC Mercy Hospital.
She was born on June 21, 1939, to the late Harley R. and Winona (Lambright) Beatt. She is also preceded by her husband Thomas “Dilly” Fredrick Kakascik, one sister Bonnie Maffit.
She worked for Kaufman and then Macy’s in the Fort Steubenville Mall. She was in housewares department for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Agnes Church, A CWC member and their card club.
She is survived by three children: Thomas Jr. (Mary) Kakascik of Weirton, Stepanie (Gary) Ballinger of Akron, and Jeanette Harper of Mingo Junction, and one brother Harley Beatty of Zanesville, OH.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be buried next to her husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
