George Platt, 89, of Weirton, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary (Zdinak) Gogul; his father, George Krinock; his stepfathers, Otha Platt and John Gogul; his sisters, Mary Jane (Stanley) Tuchalski and Theresa (Charles) Philipps; his brother, John (Linda) Platt; and his son-in-law, Randall Scenna.
Surviving are his children by the late Ella Mae (Pearl) Platt. Janet Scenna and Michael Platt. Also surviving are his children with Glinda (Bailey) Platt: Jessica (Ken) Whippo, Anthony "Tony" Platt, George-Michael "Georgie" Platt, and Emma (Dominic) Pucci. He also leaves behind five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
At George's request, there will be no visitation.
