PATRICIA SIMPSON
Patricia J. Simpson, 83, of Dublin, Ohio, formerly of Richmond, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026.
She was born on May 22, 1943, in Niagara Falls, New York, to the late Charles and Jean (Kurtz) McGill. In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her sister, Jancie Reynolds.
Patricia was a faithful member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church for many years, where she was active in the Catholic Women’s Club. She was also a dedicated member of the Richmond Volunteer Fire & Rescue. Patricia devoted 29 years of service as a Registered Nurse at St. John’s Hospital, where she cared for countless patients with compassion, skill, and kindness.
She is survived by her loving husband, Melvyn Simpson; her son, Timothy (Barb) Simpson of Columbus, Ohio; her daughter, Dawn Hendershot of Dublin, Ohio; her son, Shawn (Selena) Simpson of Bloomingdale, Ohio; her grandchildren, Devon (Zach) Hendershot, Ethan (Molly) Hendershot, Miranda Hendershot, Ike Hendershot, Toby (Lauren) Simpson, Jacob Simpson, Noah (Erin) Simpson, Zach (Jade) Powell, and Brittany Powell; and six great-grandchildren.
Patricia will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her faith, her sense of humor, and the loving care she provided to others throughout her life and nursing career.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Everhart-Bove Funeral Homes.
