JAMES WATSON

Jim Watson, of Maineville (formerly of Steubenville) passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at age 84.

Jim was a man of many talents and a friend to everyone he met. He was a dedicated husband to his wife of 58 years, Joann, and a fixture at the Weirton Steel Company for many years.

Beyond his career, Jim was a gifted artist and a proud member of the Steubenville Art Association. If he wasn’t in his art room, you could usually find him out on the golf course, working on his yard, hitting the weights, or relaxing with his favorite cat, “Little Girl.” Jim lived his life with genuine enthusiasm, and he truly found joy in the simple things.

We will be celebrating Jim’s life on June 30, 2026, at First Westminster Church. Please join us to share memories and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Steubenville Art Association, P.O. Box 1091, Steubenville, OH 43952 supporting the passion for art that brought him so much joy.
