ANTHONY CANELLA

ANTHONY CANELLA

Anthony Canella, 42, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away on May 28, 2026.

Born on September 28, 1983, in Steubenville, Ohio, Anthony graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School in 2002 and proudly earned varsity letters in both football and wrestling. He continued his education at Bryman University in Phoenix, Arizona, where he received a degree as a Practical Technologist in Radiology. Although trained in healthcare, Anthony spent much of his professional career immersed in the granite industry, building lasting friendships and earning the respect of those who worked alongside him.

Anthony embraced life fully, with enthusiasm, compassion, and an adventurous spirit. His zest for life led him on countless travel experiences. Anthony was also a talented artist who enjoyed expressing himself through his artwork and sharing his gifts with those around him. He was an avid chess player and a valued member of his local chess club.

Anthony never met a stranger. He genuinely relished being around people and had a natural ability to make others laugh and feel welcome. His sense of humor and generous heart made family gatherings a little brighter and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew and loved him.

Anthony was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a wonderful uncle. But of all the roles he held in life, none meant more to him than being a father to his beloved daughter, Alivia, whom he loved beyond measure. She was his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment.

Anthony is survived by his loving parents, Carey and Mary Jo Canella; daughter Alivia Canella; brothers John (Christina) Canella and Adam (Annette) Canella; nieces and nephews, Carey, Hailey, Nico, Gino, and Mia Canella; and his partner and best friend, Teresa Eaton of Prescott, Arizona.

Memorial visitation will be held Friday, June 26, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 852 Main Street in Wintersville, Ohio, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will be private at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
